@westsidemomma I have Hashimotos disease, as u have a thyroid issues as well, some of the meds can result in panic and/anxiety attacks. Have you checked the side effects of each of your meds? Hang in there, you're a very strong person.

Yes I believe this Levothyroxine needs to be changed to something different. I never had a single anxiety or panic attack till last week and it’s been everyday. Feel like I’m going insane it happened after a dose change but even with my old dose of levo I was still depressed and had weird symptoms

I have Graves and had a total thyroidectamy

Are you taking the actual Synthroid brand name or generic levothyroxine? I switched to name brand and it stopped 90% of the anxiety attacks. You wouldn't think there is a difference between name brand and generic, but in this case, there is a HUGE difference. If your doctor writes the script for name brand only due to sensitivity, your insurance is forced to allow you to have it at a formulary price. Also, look into Armor thyroid. It may or may not be a choice for you.

It’s probably generic because I pay 1.50 I know I have heard name brand is like 30$ a month supply or something and then Armour pig synthetic thyroid cost the most at like 99$ a month but I’ll pay anything to not feel like this 😭

Are you talking about natural thyroid

I fluctuate between Graves and Hashimotos. Name brand is worth it. It may take up to six weeks to see a difference though, unfortunately. You may be able to mail order at a cheaper cost, depends on your insurance and who they offer as a mail order vendor.

Iv been fluctuating bad on this levo I’m gonna ask my dr about a change in brands before I end up in a nut house or strokin out. This hormone is killing me but without it I’ll die too🙄

NP and Armour thyroid are two different meds. Both very similar, but different

Yes, your taking generic. Ask your doctor for the name brand. They will give you crap that it's the same, trust me, night and day difference.

I know when I had my surgery I said right off the bat I wanna start out on the good brand and not any cheap manufactured brand and they refused and told me they were all the same 😡😡 now I’m nearly on the edge of loosing my mind.

Just want half of my life back at least, no one asked to live like this I’m either to tired to breath or too strung out to breath and my heart health is taking a big hit

There is a difference. You're your own advocate in this life, especially with your health. As someone with several auto immunes, I wholeheartedly understand what you mean and where you're coming from. Do you have an endocrinologist? Are they good or do they just dismiss you?

iv been feeling like I’m goin brain dead from hormones too much or too little. They gave me Xanax but what the hell is that gonna help when I’m literally going brain dead from hormones 😩

I'm assuming they're going by protocol. You can't. Every person has individual needs. It seems like they're passing you along.

I’m finally better in the afternoon night time always am 🤷♀️ like the levo has wore off and I feel 100times better. Gotta wake up and start all over again though
