To get your GED you need to take the official test at an accredited location. Anywhere online saying you're taking the actual test is a scam. Usually it will be at a local college or sometimes they even have testing centers in larger areas. You can study online though! There are plenty of awesome options for practice testing and classes. I personally got mine at 16 because I just wanted to start working full time and I was over high school. It took me about a week to drop out and get my GED instead. My husband got his a few years ago though and it took him a few months of studying before he felt ready. You can take the tests in segments so you can really focus on your problem areas and retake if need be! How long it will take really depends on how much studying and time you need to be prepared. Hope this helps. 😊
I only studied the math portion since that is my weakness. I did it online I Cannot remember the program I will try to Nd comment the name later. But I only studied less than two weeks and went to take it passed each test first try.
I took online classes through Rio Salado College. It was about $220. It was difficult for Math and Science so I did in person classes (free)for a month. All together it took about 6 months . I’ve been out of school for 20 years . I’ll start College classes in the Fall. You can do it! I just finished in February.
