Here’s a good example for you, my papaw LOVES my mamaw and treats her like she holds the moon but my mamaw doesn’t love him the same so they have a lot of conflict in their marriage, they no longer sleep in the same room anymore, they have their own parts of the house, they don’t share their pets anymore, they live like they’re roommates. They don’t even act like a married couple anymore because my mamaw doesn’t love my papaw the way he loves her.
That's so sad and yes I see what you mean both people have to equally love to make it work !!!!
Disagree, if you love someone less it isn’t real love and you’ll be unhappy no matter how much that other person loves you or treats you.

My first thought is- I wouldn’t want to be with a man that loves me more than I love him. I feel like there would be an imbalance of sorts. I also feel like that would be robbing yourself of the purest emotion to give- love.
How are you going to know the depth of his love? If you think someone can love you more than you love them, are you even really in love?

@verguinia, all you know is how much you love someone else and hope that you receive that same type of love. You don’t ever know how someone else loves you. Unless it’s your children.

I mean, I've had several guys like/love me more than I liked/loved them but I definitely didn't want to stay with them. Isn't that the very definition of "settling"?
I want a man who makes me feel butterflies! Who I can fall in love with over and over. Old lady doesn't seem to make sense at all.
Granted, if your man doesn't love you, that will also cause problems. But how do you quantify love?
