How do I keep my dish sponges from stinking?

Rinsing them and letting it dry

Throw it out.I use the sponge daddy for that reason it never smells.

rinse then so no soap stays in them

let them dry in the window(sun kills germs)

throw them in the dishwasher or washing machine

soak in bleach water

My coworker says she puts hers in the dishwasher

Don’t keep them too longer . Always wash it at the end with soap and repeatedly squeeze while rinsing it. after squeezing it several times leaving it without water dripping out of it .

Dishwasher or damp 30 seconds in the microwave

I put bleach on mine and leave it for five minutes. Then I rinse them out with water. I also use the bleach sponge to clean my sink.
