An ER doctor called my son a parasite once when I went in for severe cramping(due to a UTI apparently) I was maybe 13 weeks pregnant and he walked in and went. "So I see you've got a parasite huh?" And I was sooooo confused but he was clearly joking lol. We both laughed about it later. I still do.
The only time they actually act as a parasite is when the fetus is destroying the woman mentally, emotionally or physically. A mental toll can be worse than the physical toll of pregnancy. I always said my daughters were sucking the life out of me. And here I go doing it again. 😂🤷🏼♀️
@februarymomx2 We called Henry "the alien" ( like in the movie Alien) from the time we found out I was pregnant until well after he was born. 🤷Maybe we just have a sick sense of humor. We called this one our little coffee bean because ALL I wanted was coffee because she makes me so drained that I definitely need the coffee. We also called her a germ because she also made me very sick this pregnancy. Recently started calling her miss monster because I'm having complications and I swear she's actively trying to kick out my ribs lol. It's all affectionately used terms though so.
@jmarie__, @erincharlieconor, public outrage and outcry is the only thing most of us can do. Voting in local elections saves our states and towns but not others. Social media is another platform for such a cause. And it’s kinda my profile on mom.life so I’ll post what I want and what my views are.
@februarymomx2, Yes I understand you but don’t you think doing this here on mom life is going to solve anything? Everyone needs to protest , march, I dunno riot even not sit on here arguing about pro life n pro choice this won’t change anything.

Mother's own child developing through the natural process of life and reproduction does not fit the definition of a parasite at all. The child is the same species and pregnancy, while uncomfortable and inconvenient, is not a relationship that usually injures the mother. Further, the term "parasite" is clearly meant to classify a certain variety of animal behavior, not to describe the natural process of reproduction within a given species. The biological category of "parasite" in no way describes an unborn human child in relation to its own mother.
You don’t think for an 11 year old child a fetus acts as a parasite?
@februarymomx2, Don’t jump on the defence wagon, I am just simply letting you know that you are wrong about a fetus being a parasite.
@erincharlieconor, to each their own. 🤷🏼♀️ a fetus before viability relies on the woman for everything, without that vital connection it could not survive. All I’m saying is every woman deserves to choose if they put their body through the process of pregnancy and child birth.
You can feel that way. Everyone is entitled to their opinion
A parasite never gets to the point where it is capable of surviving without a host.
