My 3 month has a cough. No fever or snot just a cough. We bought cough medicine for him last night (cough started yesterday morning) and we have been giving it to him since. How long should we wait to take him in for the cough? He's not grumpier than usual or anything. How long should we wait to see if the medicine works? It's been 2 years since I've had a infant lol my 2 year old is vocal to us about this stuff lol

I think it depends what kind of cough it is as far as calling but for tonight... If you have Vicks, put it on his feet and then put socks on him then on his chest all before bed. I did this last month with my little one and it worked. I also use diffuser.
If it just started yesterday and isn't accompanied by anything else I would personally wait to give him anymore meds and see if his symptoms progress at all. I wouldn't want to cover anything up if he does get worse.
It's a dry cough
