I think Noah might have strep throat but can I assume that? I’m going to take him to the dr but like can I tell them I think he has strep? Cause I know his throat is bothering him I can hear when he coughs and he just seems uncomfortable It’s so different from his asthma problems.

Just tell them his throat is red or seems to be bothering him. If they look and think it could be they will test for it. Hope he feels better. It could also be post nasal drip if his throat is sore and he’s coughing. ♥️

I didn’t think about post nasal drip. I hope it’s that instead 😭 I’ve been giving him all the medicine he’s allowed to have. I thought it was allergies but now it just seems much worse. Thank you

@bubbys.mommy, yeah I don’t remember coughing being a sign of strep. But I know post nasal would cause both. And the post nasal could be from allergies. Definitely get him checked out to be sure.

I’m going to call his dr office tomorrow and hope they get him in.

Does he have a fever? That’s a telltale sign of strep. Sometimes you can see small white patches on the back of the throat too.

No he doesn’t it’s actually weird for him to not have a fever I feel like he always has one when he’s sick which is making me feel like it could possibly just be severe allergies but the sound of the cough is nothing I’ve heard from him before. I haven’t looked in his mouth yet to see if I can see back there either. I should probably do that in the morning I remember my mom doing that with me cause I got strep quite a bit when I was younger.

I always say, “is it possible it might be _____.” When I go and I think it’s something specific. Instead of saying “I think my child has ____.” It just sounds better to me 😂 I’m always worried I’ll be looked down on for self diagnosing not only the kids but myself. I’m bad with doing that.

Girl that does sound better lol when I had gallstones they always told me to go to the emergency room if it acted up even though we knew what it was, it was so bad that they needed me to be checked out in case some of my levels had gotten dangerous cause I had some questionable vitals before I had it removed so I’d walk into the er in excruciating pain and say “I have gallstones” while balling my eyes out not able to breath. And they’d be like “uh how do you know you have gallstones?” 😂😂😂😂 cause I been through this before and had someone diagnose it now help me! 😂😂😂
