PP visit tomorrow. Thoughts about the shot for birth control? Bf doesn’t want me on the pill bc I’m forgetful and not trying to have another baby yet lol

I don’t want anything injected in me and nothing up my vag lol so pretty much my options are the pill or the shot
You could do the patch.
I’ve tried every birth control there is besides some methods of pills and nexplanon because it seemed to risky.
Nexplanon would be better for teenagers or those sensitive to birth control because it slowly releases the hormones whereas the shot is three months of hormones injected all at once which can cause people to feel out of it.
Felt like I almost passed out getting the shot once.
It makes you feel kinda dizzy but maybe that’s just me.

I liked the shot while I was on it, coming off of it was when I was annoyed but all together it wasn’t bad. Just didn’t get my period for a year after. But I loved not having to remember a pill everyday.
If you don’t want to have children for awhile then the shot is ideal because most women experience infertility after the shot for months to a year.
Expect weight gain since it’s one of the most common side effects.
I’ve been through similar experiences with the shot but it’s only recommended for one full round of birth control because it can cause osteoporosis.

I had nexplanon but got preggo with my daughter on it after i had her i got on the depo like it alot but hated the weight gain so got off it now preggo lol so im getting my tubes tied since im too fertile

I’ve only tried the pill but that was two years ago so I’m lost but could you tell me more about the patch
