At the hospital my nurse is having to call the doctor to see what to do because I am 50% effaced and dilated to almost a one she is sending me home but said if my pain gets worse to comeback.

If you have that protein in ur urine they probly did the preterm test on you I forgot what’s it’s called. They did that for me and I came back positive for preterm had the protein in my urine, and I got the steroid shots for abit but I will say I made it to 37.6 weeks. I’d definitely look into it more and be checked again. In this case can’t be to safe ya know..
The only thing they did was test my urine and and checked my cervix. They didn’t swab for that I’ve had it done with my first child
@mommasince2016, ur right my fault, they took urine, Swab and blood from me and I was having frequent contractions forgot to add that also but didn’t feel them either, nor at birth. But I’m pretty damn sure it’s still the protein ur body releases before birth that the swab is for bc that’s how they nurses described it to me
Sounds about right 😒 I don’t agree with it, but it can take you weeks to get further along dilating even tho you’re so early in pregnancy. Do you have another hospital near you? Are you leaking fluids at all??
I don’t think so and I have one two exits over but they also said I had some protein in my urine
A lot of times the hospital does not communicate with your doctor even if you saw someone from your office so definitely call them and get seen.

protein in urine doesnt always mean preterm labor tho. could mean preeclampsia depending on how much protein there is. as for ur effacement and dilation you could be that way for weeks. good luck hun. contractions that dont stay is normally Braxton hicks. call ur OB in morning and find out whats going on.
