I really really need some help, I've decided I'm not going back to work.. my partner isn't working atm. I'm looking for part time hours. Will I survive on universal credit for the time being I know I'll have my housing paid which is £400 a month. I just wanna know ladies who don't work how you budget.. what's left after bills.. will I manage etc? I'm so scared.. but at the same time I really don't wanna go back.

Yes you will. You can get healthy start vouchers for fresh fruit veg n milk also vitamins for mum and baby. There’s an online calculator which will give you a rough idea of how much you will get.
Once you get payed pay all your bills and get baby stuff then divide the rest into weekly amount you have left to spend for food shop ect. Meal planning may help also I’d do a joint UC claim with you n your partner if you don’t already xx

I manage (I’m a single parent) after I’ve paid all my bills and got mias essentials for the month and a food shop I’m left with about £100-£200 depending on if Mia needs new clothes or any toys :) but defo manageable... I’m going to go back to work when Mia is 3 and just do part time enough to cover my bills :) hope your okay though these things can be stressful 💗 xx

Hes been doing only about 10 hours a week gardening work but has recently got his cscs card so fingers crossed he can earn a good wage soon 🤞 If he cant then I will have to go back to work and he'll be looking after Chelsea. I think you'll be fine as they give you just enough to live on and will take a little time to adjust x
