So I’m super embarrassed to say this.. makes me feel like a bad mom... but a few weeks ago I tried co sleeping with Oliver. I made a barrier with pillow on every side of the bed just Incase. And somehow he still managed to find a way past them and rolled out of bed while I was sleeping. He was fine and everything but now I’m terrified to co-sleep... I want to though. Any advice? What do you do when you co sleep?

I just put him next to me and put my arm around him. With ds4 he did roll off the bed a couple times. Once they start rolling i try to keep him in the middle.

Are you able to push your bed against the wall? Have baby sleep on that side.

We roomshared for the first 6 months and most nights he ended up in our bed. I just put him in between me and my bf. Even now if he ends up in our bed he’s in the middle of us.

Sorry for the face mask lol 😂 we’ve co sleep since he was born he’s almost 18 months now and he’s still co sleeping. When he was little he slept all night long on my chest. Now he falls asleep on my chest and sleeps in the crook of my arm in the middle of the bed. I’m an super light sleeper so I always wake up whenever he moves to much or makes noises. He’s also fallen off the bed when he was around 6 months old. It wasn’t when we was sleeping but when I was changing his clothes. I bend down to pick up an sock and heard an thud. It happens mama. Honestly coalescing is rough especially when they are older if he will sleep in his own bed I’d keep him that way ☺️😊

If baby is sitting up than I personally think it's too late for co sleeping.

Or you can get bed rails

I’ve co slept with all of mine. They sleep in the crook of my arm. All of mine have fallen off at least once!

If you have enough space get a co sleeper

We have my little one co sleeping with us. He’s been co sleeping since he has been 3 months or so. I’m a big baby as it is so I need our bed pushed against the wall, I have a body pillow blocking the wall and that’s his spot, then I have another body pillow separating him from me, so he has his section and I have mine. That way he doesn’t fall off the bed

Something like this on top of the covers is your best option, anything else I wouldn’t risk. I did something like this and had a breathing monitor on her!

I just wouldn’t take that risk with a wiggly baby I’d rather get up in the night than have a worse accident happen x

I’m only speaking through personal happenings - due to a close family friend suffocating her baby so it’s genuinely scared me to death xx there are safe ways to do it as people have mentioned xx

I understand completely. I just feel like I’m missing out on a huge bonding moment...
