At what age did y’all stop using a baby monitor in your child’s room?
Charley still likes to put stuff in her mouth So I like to be able to hear her all the time. She’s a wild one lol
I have one but we don’t use it because we live in such tight quarters that I can hear him no matter what and we sleep in the same bed so i definitely have never needed one on while we are sleeping. However when we move and the place is much bigger I’ll be using his monitor for a very very long time
@llcoolkay, I actually have 2 lol I’ll be using both once we move. My son is an escape artist lol I might have to have cameras up around the house actually 😂😂😂
@bubbys.mommy, I have 2 in my daughters room and one in my room for the new baby. I kind of want to put some out in the living room lol
@llcoolkay, if you feel the need then I would lol just extra eyes and you can never have too many eyes 👀
Whenever I feel comfortable doing so. My girls are 4 and 2 and my 4 year old is very articulate. I barely ever check in on them but I want to make sure I can hear them in an emergency
Yeah it’s scary not always being able to hear them. My 2 year old still likes to put stuff in her mouth so I’m always nervous about her choking
@llcoolkay, my 2 yo keeps me on my toes too. Don’t mind the input you’re getting. You’d never forgive yourself if something happened the day you got rid of the monitor. 2 isn’t old enough to fully communicate or communicate properly so a monitor is helpful.
@2sweetie, @anicole3285, @zoeysmommy5, my grandma told me like a year ago I should stop using it so I could get more sleep at night and that was just crazy to me lol
Well still at 2 I think it's a good idea incase something is wrong or so.you can check on her in the middle of the night with out getting up
@anicole3285, I couldn’t imagine sleeping without it on
Honestly my daughter will be 5 in September and I still like to use a baby monitor bc I have a two story house so I wanna make sure I hear her if she wakes, gets sick, is out of bed ext.
My daughter is 2 and a half and my grandma after like I was crazy that I still use it
@llcoolkay i will use mine forever also! Lol We have custody of my 7yr old stepdaughter of course she is not to be trusted what so ever but she still has one in her room. Lol but its very good we have cameras in the house to keep a eye on everything for safety as well as making sure the kids are okay
I stopped when she turned 3.
It broke and she was doing okay on her own.
But, you do whatever you’re comfortable with!
