I want to take no paid FMLA of 12 weeks after I have baby. I am saving now, to be able to do this.
I know how much I need for bills but I have no clue how much to prepare for baby. How many diapers should I count for per day. Wb formula?
Anything else that I should add into my monthly budget? I want to be as planned as possible so i can be home with my baby like i was with my first (i was 16 so i didnt have to worry about "taking time off").
Any advice will be helpful!

Insurance Co pays. Usually the Baby has a lot of appointments. I spent about $150-200 during the first few months.

Plan on at least a box or two of diapers a month for the newborn stage then one box a month going forward and for the formula we used parents choice the big container from Walmart $20 and I wanna say it lasted us 2-3 weeks? Might even be a little longer.. I would just round up to $300-400 to be safe and have a cushion because you never know the unexpected

diapers if u buy the big box of size 1s I just do parents choice for all my kids should be from 8lbs to 14lbs with 168 diapers in them. and a box of size 2s which is 12 to 18lbs ranging from 228 diapers to if order online is 368 for the mega pack... that might last you the whole 12 weeks. uou might have to buy a small pack or another big pack here and there... box of wipes always get the big box packs.. big box of parents choice has 800 wipes again i always just get parents choice my kids dont have issues and the diapers imo are way better than luvs or any other brand when it comes to leaks...

also most only use a small thing of newborn diapers so dont waste ur money getting a lot of those:).. idk what ur 1st baby weighed but with mine technically all mine could of been in size 1s from the start. I did use newborn for like a week just cuz they were tighter.

For formula use generic brand formulas!! They are so much cheaper and are the same thing as the name brand. I use Aldis formula and it’s $13 for a 20 oz can and it’s $25 where I live for a 20oz can of enfamil formula! I know Walmart has its own formula and it’s very affordable and you can get a huge tub of it.
