I am going to rant for a little bit because I am tired of all the bs that goes on.

So we found out I was pregnant late February and my dad disagreed with it then all of a sudden she is so excited about having his first grandchild. When we found out on Saturday we are having a boy he was completely bummed out. Now he has contacted my husband as far as a baby shower that I did not want to have in the first place my dad told my husband that is because we couldn't afford it. Now all of a sudden my dad wants to do the baby shower has been begging me to do the baby shower and I told him he can do it as long as he apologizes to my husband and he has yet to apologize even though I keep asking him have you done it yet? have you thought about what I've said? what are you going to do? And everytime opportunity he changes the subject or he completely stopped talking to me, he has stress me out so much over the past years he's not about to stress me out this year so I am ready to cut him off but I'm trying to give him a chance but I'm so sick and tired of all the BS I get from him and his side of the family.

What a roller coaster of emotions he's putting you through! Based on his weird reactions and flip flopping i wouldn't trust him to throw a shower. He can attend. He can help if he wants to. He can be involved in other ways. But for someone who initially disapproved of my pregnancy, that's not the place for that person IMO.

Sounds like he has a lot of trust to earn before just assuming he is going to try to be the world's best grandpa.

I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
