Anyone have their child experience something similar? After his nap we noticed his arm a little swollen and red. We can’t find any bite mark or anything but it is warm/hot to the touch. And of course we don’t have the urgent care open now. Just curious if other mamas have had this with their littles.

Thanks! That’s what I was wondering if it was. Because of the heat. It just sucks where we live I won’t be able to get him seen til at least Monday morning or afternoon if not then I have to go to an ER and I’m fighting with myself is this something to go in now or wait.
Did he nap on the carpet? Could be rug burn if he moves around alot.
No we were at my moms all day. And she has wood floors. He was on a blanket. And he never fell or anything. Hopefully it gets better soon. It hasn’t spread so that’s a good thing.
Does he sleep in a crib? Maybe it was caught between bars?
He did. That’s definitely a possibility. He likes to move a lot in his sleep.
No. We haven’t been outside or even in the sun. And it’s just his one elbow. It’s so har to get a pic of lol it’s much redder in person. That’s what’s so odd. He hasn’t gotten hurt and there is no mark if he had gotten bitten at least not that we see.
Could be Cellulitis (bacterial infection in the skin). There may or may not be any type of “bite” looking mark with Cellulitis. If it’s warm to the touch, that’s a pretty prominent indicator. Give him Tylenol. Keep an eye on his temperature. Bring him in to get seen a soon as you can.
