Anyone let their 3.5+ year olds play outside by themselves? Meaning you aren’t outside but you can clearly see them and hear them?
No judgement for anyone that answers. I want to know if I’m being overprotective or not.
Yes only because we live in the middle of no where shared on 10 acres with my in laws. They know they can only play out back where the trampoline, pool, and swing set is. If they want to ride their dirt bikes or four wheelers an adult has to be present.
Nope. But we live right on a busy street and he’s not even slightly trustworthy. There was always an attempted kidnapping on my front lawn 😕
That’s scary! 🥺 that’s my worst fear- someone taking her from me
@santistevanmommie, I’ve been so careful with him running out alone now cause you never know if he will come back to snatch someone and lord knows my kid would be easy to get 😭😭😭😭 so no I don’t leave him for even a second but if we lived out in the middle of no where with not so many neighbors I’d be more okay with letting him loose as long as I could see him
I’m out in the boonies and he loves to shriek or yell at our dogs while outside. If I can’t see him I listen for him. If I can’t hear him, my ass is out the door looking for him, baby can cry for 2 minutes
Were on the outskirts so I don’t worry as much but still some. It’s a retirement town so most of the residents can’t walk faster than she can lol that helps as well but I always worry that A. Someone will take her B. She’ll walk off.
We don’t have fences up so I think I’m going to wait until we do before I let her out by herself
I definitely don’t mind letting the little one cry for a minute to find her. I’d strap her to me if I needed to that isn’t an issue
We live on a dead end road in the middle of the sticks..my kids can go out back and they know where to go and where not too. My back door is always open. I put a baby gate up on my porch and my 4 yr old can play there with the door open. That way he can't get off.

At my mother in laws yes cause she got a fenced backyard and someone always out there even when im not
It’s pretty much the same with us. At my grandmas house she can play outside without me because her pa is always outside and if not pa my grandma
@santistevanmommie, yeah i hope to get a house with a fenced backyard for the same reason i want to be able send them out when im cooking lol or get 5mins to myself
@angelprince96, lol yes I’m ready for our yard to be fenced in at least in the back.
Absolutely not this is a sick fucking world we live in. My daughter does not go outside period without her father or myself.
I agree. There’s tons of sickos in this world.
I don’t even trust my almost 8 year old to play anywhere alone.
I’m just glad to know I’m not overprotective of her. We don’t live in the city, in fact it’s a retirement town, but I’m so scared someone will snatch her
I have one playground I’ll take them to where I’ll actually SIT DOWN and “relax” at because it’s fully fenced in and I know my kids can’t run off but I’ve always been a helicopter mom. I’m always watching them because you never know what could happen.
@kimberly_the-preemie-mom, I am the same way!! There’s a tiny park up the road from us. No one ever goes there so I can actually sit on the bench and feel relatively okay. But if she starts going more than 5ft from me I walk behind her
In the fenced in back yard, yes.
In my front yard with no Fence, then no.
I also have a dog and he'll bark at anyone/anything whose even close to our fence 😂
Our pit is like that. He will follow her everywhere but I’m scared to let her go play outside by herself. We live in a hella small retirement town but I just can’t not think the worst
@nerdymommyplus2, I also thought about giving caleigha a stopping point and allowing her outside.
@santistevanmommie
My dog is the most attached to me. He won't leave my side when I go outside. 🤷
It's terrible here. I see kids younger than my oldest running around the neighborhood unsupervised all the dang time.
Like I understand if in a fenced in yard but just roaming around the neighborhood with no adult in site.....
Nope nope nope
If anyone is trying to get any tattoos done on them, I really recommend you not to especially if you are pregnant. You can seriously HARM the child!
Gifts for nurses?
Anyone planning to bring gifts for your nurses during/after delivery? If so, what are you giving them?
Have any of you guys made friends on here? Just curious 😂 I’ve been on here so long but I never remember anyone or actually talked to anyone outside of random comments.
Have you ever
Been approached by someone asking for money in a parking lot? What do you say to them?
