Any advice on increasing milk supply that has actually worked for you? I have a feeling im drying up. I'm barely pumping a half an ounce out of both breasts. When I first had her I could pump 5 oz.😕

Pumping isn’t an accurate indication of your milk supply, make sure your flange size is correct, your pump parts are working correctly. The best thing you can do for your supply is to drink plenty of water, eat when you’re hungry, sleep when you’re tired (or when your kids let you), take care of yourself and feed on demand. If it’s not possible to feed on demand make sure you’re pumping every 2-3 hrs you’re away from your baby. If all else fails schedule an appointment to see a lactation consultant.

@jennatess I've been dying for a drink but my doctor said you shouldn't really breast feed for 12 hours and I camt pump enough to last that long. My fiance is getting frustrated with me when I told him about the milky mama he said we just bought cookies from Walmart we bought the body armor drinks now you want this. Lol I said well we need to find something that works 🤷‍♀️

@sourpatchmama96, so funny! My lactation consultant actually told me to try beer! Haha. That’s exactly what I think… I want to try everything I can before I totally give up.

Breast pump covered by insurance

I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

babybump_user You may want to ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital grade pump if you
may042017 I will be ordering the Medela Pump in Style. I'm pretty sure my insurance covers either that
babybump_user With my insurance I couldn't get one till after baby was born and it took forever to
