Okay so i know it’s super early and all but we’ve pretty much got the names picked out. For a boy James Preston Polk named after both our grandpas. Then for a girl Ida Dean Polk named after both our grandmas. How do y’all feel about the girls name? I’ve had a couple friends say she’ll get picked on and the name is to old. What are y’all thoughts?
I have a Faye, and I also got a lot of grief over it being an older name.
The way I look at it: it’s not bizarre, or made up. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a real name with a normal spelling 🤷🏼♀️
No my papas name was James and his grandpas name was Preston. Then my Mawmaw D name was Dean and his grandmas name was Ida.
old names are pretty trendy now! i haven’t heard ida on a baby yet, but ive seen esther, betsy, margaret, etc. so i don’t think ida is too far fetched.
They are perfect names, the baby won't get picked on, and I don't think there's a such thing a "too old name" I'm named after a goddess who lived before Christ 🤷🏾 if she wants to go off of a old name lol.
If you feel those are perfect names then so be it, its perfect mama ❤
Ya. Me either. That’s my hubbys grandmas name. But it’s growing on me the more i say it.
I love them both.
I love older traditional names.
