Hi I question that’s been bothering me for the past 20 mins . I found out I have Bacterial vaginitis and my doctor prescribed me gel but I can’t take it until I’m 14 weeks . I’m 9 weeks and I just read B.V. can lead to miscarriage. What else can I do to treat it now ?

Bv is very common especially in pregnancy. I had them all the time with my daughter years ago and it never affected the baby. What did your doctor recommend?

Vaginal gel but I can’t use it for another 5 weeks . It’s just unnerving because I never had it carrying my son

I don’t know why your doctor would prescribe something you can’t take for another month 🤔

I had it about nine weeks I couldn’t take it until I was completely out of my first trimester. It’s a bigger risk to treat you in your first trimester.

so far LOL I’m only going to be 21 weeks LOL she wanted to wait until I was 18 weeks to treat me. But I ask to be treated earlier bc my husband was going to be out of town so the no sex wouldn’t be an issue. Lol
