Maybe someone can shine some light...we decided probably when my son was 4 months that we wanted our next baby close in age so we started trying...I Exclusively pump...so my question is how soon did everyone fall pregnant? I haven’t had a period so I’m guessing I’m not ovulating :/

I got my period maybe 8 or 9 weeks after I gave birth. and I got pregnant when my son was basically 4 months and I’ve been breastfeeding the whole time but I’m pretty sure just every person is different when it comes to their bodies
He’s almost 8 months I pump only...my OB even said I should have a period but I obviously don’t lol I bled for 2 weeks after he was born and it was extremely light and I had nothing since....my body is annoying and I wish it would just do what I want for once 😂
@paigerue2013, before I got pregnant again I googled about getting pregnant while breastfeeding and it said usually it’s a slim chance to get pregnant before 6 months because your body is still producing milk something like that. So I thought I was good but it was still possible and I got pregnant anyways 💀 but you should google it, it will explain it better but that’s why I say people’s bodies will act different maybe for some women it applies too but some it doesn’t. It also took me 2 years to get pregnant with my first baby and some girls get pregnant at 14 after doing it just a couple times so different women different results. I think when your bodies ready again you’ll get pregnant for sure.
I’m pumping too and I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant, my sons almost 5 months but my period returned at 8 weeks pp
I only bled for 2 weeks after I had him and haven’t had a period since ....I’m mean not complaining until we decided to have another baby 😂

@isabellesmom93, 4x a day...when I wake up , evening, before bed, and once when my husband goes to work because I’m so full I need a relief but it’s a quick pump like 10 minutes just to help me get till my wake up pump lol
First time around I was exclusively pumping, got my period after I didn’t pump for a whole day.. kept pumping and got my period 3 months postpartum and got pregnant like a week later. This time around I was pumping got a period once. Stopped pumping and haven’t gotten it in 3 months and haven’t ovulated since. Everyone is so different but I’d say you aren’t ovulating. Maybe once you stop pumping you’ll ovulate and be able to get pregnant.
I think it depends how much you are pumping and since your little is 7 months do you plan to stop pumping once you get pregnant….. every female is different. After I gave birth my doctor said to wait 15 or 18 months, after that we didn't use protection but weren't trying and got pregnant a month before my kids turned 2. I don't think this helps at all 😄 Good luck tho!!
I only pump 4x a day and once he is 9 months I am dropping to 3 so I can start to stop...but if I’m pregnant before he is 1 I do not plan on stopping pumping o rather in get breast milk for as long as possible

I did t get my period back until 9 or 10 months postpartum and then got pregnant within 2 months after. My babies will be one year and 9 months apart still very close in age. I would just keep breastfeeding until your period comes back. It is still very possible for you to get pregnant while breastfeeding just not as common but I know several who have.
@paigerue2013, yeah I refused birth control also. Normally people get their period back within the first year, most don’t last as long as we do lol my doctors never indicated that mine should come back sooner bc I pumped and nursed. Your body just isn’t ready to start back up again yet. I started thinking mine would never come back then it finally did and bam I was pregnant in no time lol
@raisingradicks15, I have been having cramping like every month right around I think is my period but no bleeding and I would cramp for a week..my body is so annoying 🙄
@paigerue2013, lol for real my body is so goofy too, I’ve had irregular periods my whole life, I was super late in December thought I was pregnant then, then I finally started and ended up pregnant in January 😂
If you haven't had your period it is unlikely you're ovulating yes. I EPd with my daughter and BF my son, neither did I get my period back until I completely dried up. And then it took 9 and 6 months after to get pregnant again, they were irregular just like post partum would be.
I’ve always been irregular so that’s nothing new to me lol
@paigerue2013 yeah my logic is I am sensitive to hormones. I'm irregular and the hormones in my system when I'm lactating are too much to allow me to cycle. And then I had the question of "do I stop pumping and not give this baby all the good nutrition I can in order to try for a baby that might not be or might take a while?". I always said no and stuck with my year long BF journey. Knowing this is our last I will probably start back on a period 6 weeks PPD because that's how karma works ahahaha.
@cdquint02, I barely had a period with my oldest and it took us 10months to get pregnant with our second we decided to start right away but I mean if it happens it happens but as of right now I guess I’ll wait it out lol I can’t wait to be done pumping though 😂

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
I don’t think we would have been able to move if I didn’t have my stay at home job, we would still be in a neighborhood with our house getting broken into. I’m so thankful and blessed to have found a legit home job so my kids don’t have to go to day care, counting my blessings daily
