How do I deal with my boyfriend whose terrified of our daughter choking? He's only truly comfortable giving madison purees, like pouches with age guidelines on ect. When he's not around I'll snap off a bit of greggs sausage roll for her or give her slices of toast ect, I'm basically trying to induce actual food but he's so scared of the choking hazard. Maybe I'm choicing unsafe food? Idk? any advice? Any help?

Babies can choke even on purées, water... milk
So being overly cautious isn’t going to help.
Show him the pic above :) explains clearly what is choking and not...
Gagging is completely normal :)
She can’t eat mush forever xx

Maybe try looking for a free paediatric first aid course run by your local authority or a local charity? I know we have a few around here.
Maybe knowing that you both know what to do if she were to chock would put his mind at ease a bit x

Could you maybe show him the Dr Ranj clip of what to do if a baby chokes, then he knows if she does he'll be in control of the situation. I also found this useful.

It’s pretty natural to worry about choking. I agree with the first aid course it might help reassure him and yourself. X
