Ok so honestly I'm struggling a bit.

Riley's weaning and is loving EVERYTHING so far (purees) but now I can't think of lumpy foods to give him, do any of you ladies have any recipes or some ideas at all please ?

He has finger foods too like broccoli, baby biscuits and he also has some of what I'm having if he's able to 😊

Ella’s kitchen cookbook is fantastic hun I cook everything from scratch anyway so just give Rudy whatever we’re having but lunchtime I make him something from that book x

@babypeanut.x I just leave mine out while I'm cooking now and serve his up, then salt it at the end and cook it through quickly. Just an option.

I've been trying a bit of baby lead as well as just normal weaning and both going well. Just so cautious about everything worrying about whether or not he can gave things. Not that I'd give him honey anyway but do you know why it is they can't have it? 😊 xx

The apps are still great and have some softer recipes. Honey has live properties to it I’m sure so to reduce infections/intolerance it’s the way bees make it, that’s why they say if you suffer badly with hay fever you should buy local honey as it has local pollen and can help reduce your symptoms?

I was told always encourage trying things like berries, nuts, eggs to know there are no allergies

I only done baby lead weaning. I stuck everything on a plate and she would grab it and eat it. I would obviously start of with things cut right up for her but I’d shred chicken veg and cut potatoes up and make sure they were soft. Done it with everything. My friend done the purées and she would steam things and mash it with a fork leaving lumps in it xxx

He does that with the likes of broccoli but I'm not too sure of what else I can put on a plate or on his high chair tray. Head is scattered all over the place got a lot going on and finding foods that I can give him I'm struggling as I really really do not want to give him jars or ready made baby foods xx

Could you not just blend up meals but make them slightly thicker and will have good texture to help with that?

Nicole

@babypeanut.x ohh bless him, yeah just blend them less but make sure no lumps and when he gets use to that just keep blending it less and less slowly 😁 xx
