So, I’m 5 weeks post partum, and I still have zero appetite. I have to force myself to gag down one meal a day. I’m staying hydrated, but my milk supply is basically totally gone.

I’ve read that a lack of appetite after birth is rather common, but also that it should come back in a week or two following birth.

I’m over a month and the thought of eating makes me want to barf.

Have any of you had this issue? When did your appetite return?

Mine is still mostly gone. There’s only one way I can eat but I don’t think you or anyone else will be much interested in it.

It’s hard though. Without it I can hardly choke down a tiny pretzel.

CBD? I’ve tried it for 3 days now, and still no luck. Lol.

But, maybe I am interested- message me!

I didn't for about a week but breastfeeding makes me crave stuff worse than I did when I was pregnant. try drinking those body armour drinks. they help!!

I’ve been drinking 2-3 a day for the last 5 weeks. No luck. 😭

My garage is stocked full. 😂

I went to Costco and loaded up! Haha!

I think I’m going to write out everything I’ve tried, it’s insane when I think of it all.

I know the main issue is the lack of food.

Hmmm I had the opposite problem. I was nursing and constantly starving. I was eating more than my husband. Have you mentioned it to your doctor?

@2sweetie, I’m so irritated with the whole situation- I called to see about seeing a lactation consultant at my hospital and I let them know on the phone that I’m exclusively pumping & I don’t want to even try having the baby latch (for personal reasons) and she legit said, “ohh, well, you really need to try. The saliva will help produce milk more than just pumping. I mean, we can always have you come in, but bring the baby with and we can just try latching..”

Thats not what I want. 🤦🏼‍♀️😤

I guess I need not to be so stuck in my ways..

@jennatess, oh wow I’m so sorry you’re not getting help! While it’s true what she said, she needs to offer help with your current situation and not push you to do something else. If it’s been a month and you haven’t latched baby then she can’t just assume you’re suddenly going to do it now. She can give you pumping advice. Maybe try to find a different one? The hospital LCs aren’t always the greatest. I had to seek a different one about my daughter’s lip tie.

@2sweetie, you’re so right!

She shouldn’t make me feel dumb for something that really isn’t for me.

There is another place here in town that I know of, I’ll give them a call today.

If all else fails, i guess I can just say I tried. 🤷🏼‍♀️
