So long story cut short. I’ll be 36 weeks on Friday and I need to find a new OB, or someone to at least check up with until I go into labor. Even if it means walking into the local hospital to give birth and not knowing the doctor that delivers my baby.
My concern is that no one wants to accept new patients this late in pregnancy, without having my records from my pregnancy, which my OB office isn’t going to go lightly about handing over to anyone.
Anyone have some pointers or experience? 😅

I didn’t have any trouble and I was just as far along as you are. I had moved though, so I don’t know if they are more willing to Cooperate with that being the case. If you find a doctor that will take you, then that should be the hardest part. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t be cooperative with your records.
Why are you wanting to switch? I switched to a different office than where I went with my daughter and I have had such a wonderful experience this time. 🙌🏽
@katieblakebyron, That still doesn’t sound right because look at all the women who would pay that and unfortunately some of them lost their babies. That’s fucking despicable.
@thawkins, i hadn’t even thought of that. but I absolutely agree. And she tried to say “you’re lucky we even checked your insurance benefits beforehand and didn’t just stick you with a bill at the end of it all.”
Uh huh okay... but every other doctors offices lets you make smaller / monthly payments over time until it’s paid off. Not give you 8 weeks to pay $2500. I’m going to go in tomorrow and sign the paper and just avoid any kind of conversation about it, just get out of there.
@katieblakebyron, That sounds like the worst office ever! Even with my daughter when I only had my dads insurance they never even made me pay the copays on sight they always billed me.
I never new any of the drs that’s delivered my kids lol but that’s typical up her. You get who Evers on shift your real dr doesn’t mean a thing sadly. But go to the same hospital at least if you have had any problems they need to know of!!
Yeah I’m not too worried about my OB being the one to deliver, because I know it doesn’t always happen that way anyway. At this point I want absolutely nothing to do with her office and will not be returning. I’d like to find another to get me through the next few weeks and delivery. But if I have to just walk into the local hospital with no OB then so be it.

Any of the hospitals I’ll go to are all in the same network, so they should be able to see any of my stuff Incase something comes up! (At least I think it works that way lol) I’ve always stayed in the same giant network, just different doctors!
They are your records they HAVE to transfer them to your new OB office. They are your health records.
That’s what I thought. I just know last time I had my records transferred the old office was EXTREMELY difficult about it. And I absolutely know that this one is going to be as well.

Has anyone else thought of this nonsense with her being weird, not having consistent information etc. as seeming a whole lot like the beginning of Glee with the fake pregnancy?!
Waking up every night with Charlie horses in my calves. What could be causing this? I did not experience this with my other two pregnancies. It’s awful! Have an appt on thurs and going to bring it up with my OB but, has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy?

All you have to do is request to release your medical records. Sign a form and it shouldn't take to long.
