Just one of the light side effects. After I had my daughter in 2016 I got the nexplanon, I had it for 11 months I had it removed because the last three months I had it I had two periods a month. After taking it out my gynecologist found that one of my ovaries had been severely damaged so we waited for it to heal. ( The health department is the ones that put it in because I got it right at my six weeks PP and it takes so long to get in with my gynecologist so I didn’t wanna wait.) July of 2018 I went in for my annual papsmear and my gynecologist decided to send me in for a D&C Aug 1st to shed the lining of my uterus because I was clotting so bad. Come to find out she found multiple tumors on my uterus while she was in there. She really believed all my problems were from having the nexplanon. I thank God daily that they were not cancerous and that my ovary had healed! She put me on Chlomid ( fertility meds)in Nov 2018 and I found out Dec 26 that I’m pregnant! If you start having anything more serious than itching I would definitely have it removed before it’s too late. Especially if you want more kids in the future.
@vanessa81.vr, Not a problem girl! I’ve had several ladies inbox me after posting about my experience because they’ve been having issues if their own. I will never use birth control again to me it’s not worth the risk of potentially bot being able to have more children. But that’s just me .
