To my breastfeeding moms:
Do you remember how long it took you to get past this painful beginning stage?
Are you talking about cramping when feeding or sore nipples?
I had BAD cramps for the first week only when feeding, so after a week they were almost gone.
Sore nipples should get better in a few days if baby is latching on right
Sore nipps...I take Motrin for the cramping. My nipples are just so sore I cringed Everytime she latches on. Then after a minute or 2 I get use to it.
With my first about 3 weeks, but a nipple shield helped! With my second, I didn’t have a painful stage- I had never stopped breastfeeding my 1st.
Most of the first week was awful. She wasn’t latching correctly so it caused blisters. We are getting it down now, still hurts the first minute or so but then it doesn’t the last couple of days.
1 week was hell and going easier. 2-3 before it was painless.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

About 2-3 weeks for the engorgement to go down. First week is the worst for me simply because they’re so sensitive even if the latch was right.
