I hate bedtime. It’s just impossible. We used to put him in his cot and walk away. What happened. Now I’ve to sit in his room 2 hours waiting for him to fall asleep. I can’t do it. Help!!

Might have to give that a go @michellelouise862, he would love that. Might try the slightly later bedtime too. Thanks

I've had many nights where I've been that exhausted trying to get them to sleep that I'd sit an cry , I also used to let mine fall asleep downstairs watching a cartoon an then carry them up to bed an they'd sleep all through, I find what ever is easiest do it, I've got 4 an 30 weeks pregnant with my 5th so I know all to well about it, x

There’s been plenty of tears here. When he wakes in the night and I end up spending over an hour in his room it pushes me over the edge.

I slowly moved out the room with my lo, then id sit outside his door then I managed to go sit in my room, I could still see him down the hall if he got up. And now I can go down stairs! Takes a little while but I found this way he didn't become so distressed as we did the cio and he would make himself sick and stop breathing 🤦‍♀️

Think there is a thing you can search think it's called the disappearing chair which slowly moves you out the room xx

Nothing against cio as I used it when he was younger and it work then x

This is what we’re trying. He does the sick and not breathing thing. I can make it out of his room now but if I go further than the top of the stairs (just outside his bedroom door) he’s up. Thankfully he’s off now. Only taken just over an hour tonight. Will it just take less and less? My eldest has always been a great sleeper

@gen87 That's exactly how Noah was lol but yeah each night just got easier and less time spent. I found as well if he didn't nap during the day he would go straight of and if he did I put him to bed slightly later so he was just that more tired so I wasn't spending all night out there. I had to get him out of it before violet came as it just wouldn't work so thankfully this method worked 😊 fingers crossed he settles into it quite quickly x

Yeah I’m thinking we’re gonna have to give it a serious go. He gets so worked up sometimes he then can’t calm down.

We had to do the cry it out method. Not very nice but works! Xx

Question. I just left my husband for cheating and now hes been harassing me. Hes threatening to come get our son. I dont care if he sees his son but I'm not comfortable with him leaving with him bc hes never taken care of him a day In his life and he might use him against me. Am I wrong for feeling this way??

jennrudy2016 Make sure you have pics as proof that he’s cheating and don’t answer his calls that way

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.

My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
