Little extra annoyed at work today. I’m the only medical assistant taking patients in today so everyone else is just chit chatting with their thumbs up their asses. I’m running around like crazy rooming a patient and at the same time sorting paperwork for a patient we were sending to the hospital and the phones just ringing ringing ringing and no one could answer it. FFS.
End rant.

If you have an office manager, I would talk to them. If not, I would tell them flat out that you need help. Maybe try talking to the physician. Or you can just tell them you’re leaving for the day, not feeling well, and they can handle it themselves

I do have a supervisor but she’s clueless so i don’t go to her with too much. And I’m the MA assigned to the doctor so at this point I’m doing what I’m supposed to. But ughhhh it can be so annoying sometimes when you’re working hard and people are just laughing and talking around you

@kellynicole i feel that completely. Although my situation was a little different. When I was an assistant manager at a family gas station the third person who was working with us was about to go home. She ended up having a seizure due to an aneurysm. As I was on the phone with the ambulance, holding her in my arms in case she passed away so she wasn't alone, the other cashier (knowing what was going on) walked off and left me with a store full of customers (who were actually bitching they weren't being helped) I snapped. I didn't care about my job at that point 😂😂😂 thankfully because I acted so fast she's alive.
