Momma with older babies! How old were your kiddos when they started riding the bus? My son starts kindergarten in August and I’m terrified to let him ride the bus. Even though the school is literally right next to my house. I can see the play ground from my backyard 😆 he’s excited to ride the bus but I’m such a worry wart. The only pro I can give is that I won’t have to drive him to school since I’m due late August/early September.
My daughter is in kindergarten and has rode the bus most of this year. When we moved she had to get up extra early to be ready for the bus and decided about a month ago she didn't want to ride in the mornings anymore. Now she doesn't really want to ride in the afternoon anymore but I told her to finish the school year and next year she can be a car rider.
My son road in a minivan owned by the bus company starting at 3 years old for pre-k3 (he is hard of hearing). This year for regular pre-k he is riding the big kid bus with his cousin who is required to sit with him through the bus buddy program. If she doesn’t ride he can’t either. Next year for kindergarten they don’t require bus buddies but recommend them. He gets on the bus at 7:30am and gets off at 3:50pm
I have anxiety about letting my son ride the bus. He'll be starting school in September when he turns 3 and his school is a few towns away but with the bus picking up 3 and 4 yo kids they told me the bus ride can take up to a hour and thats what makes me paranoid. But they assured me they have t point harnesses for all the kids.
When my boys started school which was age 6.
Never. My kids don't ride the bus. I drop off and pick up
@cmjohnson3047 I stay home and I don't want them.
My son immediately got on the bus for the first time. Thought he was ok. Met him at his school before his first class and he was in tears. However next day he was fine :)
When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Mamas.
I have a question for those teachers or moms who had kids ride the bus in kindergarten.
My daughter will be riding the bus, on her first day she'll ride the bus. Do I follow and go to the school to see her to her desk or just send her off on the bus and let her do it?
Am I wrong for not wanting anybody to ride my sons bike but him hes 3 and he has a auntie who is the same age as him but I dont want her to ride it either...
I let my daughter ride the bus for kindergarten. She wanted to and loves it. Her stop is our front yard lol and the school is around the corner.
I've formed a friendship with the bus driver. He really cares about my daughter and is always concerned with her being in a great mood before and after school! It's not as bad as it seems lol
