So I’m scheduled to have a C-Section next Monday, but the closer it gets to that day the more I feel like calling and canceling. I at least want to push it back another week to give my body a chance to start labor on its own, but not sure how my doctor will feel about my decision 🤦🏽♀️

Why do you have a scheduled C-section... By choice or for health reasons
Whitney··
By choice, only because my baby was at an estimated weight of 7.1 at my 36wk ultrasound. Although I know that her weight may be off by a bit

Girl. I hope you don't get affended by this my baby was 7lbs 11oz and she came out just fine. I needed 2 stiches. In Canada it's never a choice option to have a C-section. It's a huge invasive surgery. There are like 4 layers they have to cut through just to get to the baby. You also lose all the health benefits of a natural child birth.

It also takes away from time that you have when your baby is born for healing. You need a lot more help around home after a C-section. You can birth this baby naturally and you won't have to have a ugly scar either

I’ve had a csection before, I know the risks and the healing process. I’m just not wanting to go through it again which is why I’m changing my mind. My doctor is encouraging me to try for a VBAC as well, so it shouldn’t be any problem with me canceling 😊

My baby was estimated 7lbs at 36 weeks and weighed 7.1 when I went into labor at 38 weeks

I’m just hoping labor starts on it’s own, I have no problem waiting a little longer lol. Long as I don’t have to endure another traumatic csection

When I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks I was told baby was 7-8 pounds. I was freaking out because my daughter was 5 lbs 9oz and I felt like dying. I had Jacob at 39 weeks 3 days and he was 6lbs 15 oz. the ultrasound was definitely off.

Exactly why I don’t fully trust the weight they told me lol but I have a feeling she’ll still be at least 7-8lbs because my son was 8.13 when he was born at 40 weeks
