If possible wait until the summer when they can walk around nudey so you can focus on using the potty/toilet without the drama of pants and clothes.
Mine is two in nine days she's always tugging at her nappy and during the week started taking them off I bought the potty last week so she was use to it been in the house she sits on it but as a seat to watch TV and bum shuffles on it like it's a ride on toy 🙈😂 I thought it would be easier with putting a dress on her and no bottoms to when she goes to wee I can put her on the potty quickly and show her then praise her but I'm stuck on when she's not wearing dresses and she's wearing bottoms because it's to much for her to understand to take them off xx
I done it a few days of being nude then putting her in knickers and no trousers
Then trousers with no knickers so she got the hang of pulling them up and down
She had a few accidents where she didnt make it in time , then put both on one day and shes been using it no problem
Think after a week or 2 she got confident in using the potty and pulling her pants up and down to go
Loads of patience and praise so when they have been a wee/poo
Expect loads of accidents
We have done a reward chart for my daughter so every time shes gone a wee or poo she gets a sticker and loads of praise for going
I tried potty training my daughter at 1.5 but she wasnt interested till she was 2 years 6/7 months
With my daughter I put panties over her diapers and told her she didn’t wanna get her panties wet and she was potty trained fully in the same month. She was two months away from being three.
