Needing to vent.
I absolutely love my husband, he works incredibly hard and long hours (he’s in the navy), so as a prior service member doing the same thing, I totally understand that he’s wiped at the end of the day. But it really grinds my gears when I get home from work, after closing, and all the lights are off in the house and he’s sleeping upstairs. Like... I’m almost 34 weeks pregnant, have an opening shift in 10 hours, I’m hungry, and you have tomorrow off. Sometimes I’d just like for him to be awake when I get home, or maybe just leave some lights on for me, or have an idea/started dinner. Ugh. But then I feel so guilty because I know his job requires more of him than mine does of me.
But here I am. An hour after getting home. Haven’t eaten, but did the dishes, took out recycling, fed the dog and cats dinner.. and had a good cry while doing it. And he’s still upstairs. 😭😭😭 I hope it’s just the hormones making me feel extra wacky.

Aw I’m sorry. I totally understand and I would def feel the same way. Have you asked him to do any of the things you mentioned?

Yeah, normally he’s good about things, but just in the past few weeks it’s gotten ‘bad’. And it’s pointless to have a conversation with a half-asleep man 🙄 so I’ll probably bring it up tomorrow and feel like a crazy lady 😅

just remember there are going to be times when the dishes and recycling pile up and it will still all be there in the morning. You’re gonna have a new normal soon ❤️ it’s hard to keep up the normal routine w big changes

Thank you ladies ❤️ he woke up at 4am and freaked out because I wasn’t in bed (I was on the couch 😂) and didn’t even remember me coming home. He profusely apologized for not being ‘present’ for me. ❤️ were good now!
