Mine didn’t start till 37 weeks, I think it just depends on your doctor.
Mine started when he did the strep b swab, at 36 weeks.
Some drs will only do it if you tell them you are having a lot of contractions, mine doesn’t do it until after 39 weeks ,
I've Been Having A lot Of BH contractions. So He May 😒
My doctor doesn’t check until there are signs of labor. Or if there is something wrong then she will do it at any stage.
Usually around 36 weeks or so. Depends on the doc though. I know some don’t check at all unless you ask

@kayydoll95, the cramping after is the worst. With my first I asked him to check every week cause I wanted him to jump start labor and he wouldn’t sweep my membranes, lol
To make sure it’s not thinning out and dialating. . I had mine checked at 10 weeks. And they told me mine was nice and thick .
