Masturbating
I just caught me 6 year old daughter doing it. I just told her to stop because idk what to say. Anyone can help me or inform me? What to say what not to say. How to react? HELP lol!
Don’t tell her to stop. Remind her it’s a private thing that we do in our rooms.
Mu son's 9 and does it. He goes in his room and ive caught him. When he locks his door is a good indication. I just let him be.
I’m just saying don’t make her feel bad about doing it. Telling her to just stop without explanation might send her the wrong message ya know. Jeez u guys are vultures lol
I agree with others. Don’t tell her to stop. Be open and honest. Now that she’s exploring just have conversations and seriously stress the fact that that’s her private area, for herself only. Nobody else. Not a single person besides herself. & that she can explore her own body and it’s not a bad thing, and that she’s not doing anything to get in trouble.. just that it’s only for herself and when she’s by herself.
Its normal really there exploring figuring out new things and it feels good id just let her know thats a privite thing to do on her own my nefew used to lock himself in a closet to do it at like 7
Its hard to stop my 2 year old explores time to time
Best time to start educating her. She’s Curious and exploring her own body. Tell her exactly what you caught her doing bc I bet she doesn’t quite know what she was doing. Let her know that, that is HER private area and no one can touch it but her. The more you’re open and honest without making it awkward the more she will be willing to come to you with any questions. Or when she decides she wants to have sex for the first time (years down the road) she’ll more than likely tell you and you can take the proper actions to protect her.
I know none of us wants to think about our children having sex or anything. But truth is, Kids are doing that younger and younger. They are going to do it with or without our approval. I’d rather protect my daughter than have her make a huge mistake.
I’m not sure I don’t think I grew curious untill age 15 maybe call her pediatrician to get some advice I know it’s normal

@alishap1212, that doesn’t make it not normal for children to master bate. It’s a VERY normal thing many children do and is not shameful. Shouldn’t be shamed and should instead be taught that it’s a private thing. Not a shameful or wrong thing.
@alishap1212, times are different now. Kids are introduced to so many things now. From social media and television.
At 13 I was still playing with Barbie dolls now 13-year-olds are having kids. Times are different.
You’re positive she was masturbating? She’s probably growing curious about things or she’s heard or seen things somewhere.
She was under her blanket..her hand was outside her pants and between her legs. When I told her what she was doing she got red. Idk I’m sure it.
