Will my son be able to come see me in the hospital after I have the baby? Also having some serious mom guilt about having another baby 😪

My daughter was 13M when I had my son. She was there about 1he after having him. I still in the birthing/recovery room when my husband got her and brought her up. She stayed with my until that night. She napped in my bed and everything

@bubbys.mommy, idk about over night but they never told me her or my husband had to leave. He may be able to.

@bubbys.mommy, technically he isn’t a “visitor”
M. P. ··
true technically he’s not a visitor. I have to care for him, just had a baby or not so 😂

My 3 older babies spent the night with us after I had my last daughter.
M. P. ··
I don’t think my hospital would let him do that but if he could I totally would be like “pack his bag he’s staying with me” 😂

@bubbys.mommy I think if it's a sibling they're allowed to stay because even here if you have your baby during flu season they can go back to see baby but cousins aren't allowed too.
M. P. ··
yeah my brother wasn’t allowed to visit me at all cause he was under 13 and not my sons sibling. Just wanted to double check that siblings can visit every where else too under 13 cause I can’t imagine my hospital would be the only one to say no lol

Any of you ladies think getting my son a baby doll to see how he does is too much? 😅
jenna tess··
Not too much at all.
It’s actually highly recommend.
Walmart has inexpensive dolls + diapers and bottles, ect.
M. P. ··
they still have those regular inexpensive dolls? The ones that don’t poop right? Lol I don’t need one that poops

My hospital rules were: any child can visit during visiting hours, but couldn’t spend the night if Under 17.
I recommend calling and doing a hospital tour. You’ll feel more comfortable when it’s time to arrive, and you’ll learn more of what your hospital allows.
M. P. ··
I didn’t think about that!

A sibling is one of the best gifts you could ever give your child. I promise. 😊
M. P. ··
I know. I’m just worried he will feel like we abandoned him or don’t love him or something. He does ABA(behavior theory for kids with autism) so he gets one on one time with her and that won’t change when the baby gets here so I’m hoping his schedule won’t get messed with and he will be okay.

@bubbys.mommy, That makes sense. Hoping for the best!

It depends on if he has a runny nose and cough. They might not let him. Why do you feel guilty, momma? He'll have a sibling to play with!
