So ever since I’ve had my son I’ve been very clingy with him. I don’t like other people holding him except for my bf. I don’t like leaving him with his grandmother even tho my bf insists sometimes so we can have an easier car ride and a little free time but I don’t mind dealing with the trouble.

Am I wrong for never wanting to be without my son or is that something I should work on.

(Side note) I’m a stay at home mom

Its normal. I didn't let anyone even watch her for 15 minutes until she was 3-4 months and I had to go back to work. I'm a SAHM mom now and I get anxious being away from her. It's been over a year and we are both extremely attached to each other.

I understand completely but just know that it’s healthy for baby to have time away from you with others as well. My mom friend has a 4 year old and she’s never left him and it shows. He’s afraid of everyone and everything that’s not his mom. He has speech delays and doesn’t know how to interact with other children. It’s also really impacted her marriage because she won’t pay any attention to her husband as her son always “comes first”. Her and her son are actually just codependent of each other. There comes a point where it’s not healthy if it’s too extreme. So at some point you’ll need to let go a bit, but you’ve got some time. 😊 My children have loved spending time with their grandparents from a very young age. It’s healthy for them and healthy for my husband and I to have alone time as a couple. 😊

Don’t let your BF or MIL/MOM make you feel like you’re overbearing. You’re supposed to be. Not only that, your baby is ONLY 2 months old. Being a SAHM has nothing to do with it. You didn’t have your baby to dump off with his mom and that’s something that he needs to understand. He’s a dad now, get over the crying in the car. It’s going to happen a lot. Again, he’s 2 months old. You and your boyfriend are the only people that need to be establishing themselves with your child.

Do what you see fit mama. Can ANYONE give op a good reason why she needs to work on separating herself from her child? Your mommy bear hormones are still full swing. Your baby needs you. And you need to know that you’re doing an AMAZING job.

I completely relate to this, the only people I’m comfortable with leaving my baby with are my mom and siblings. Now that he goes to his dads house on the weekends without me it has been really hard to adjust to. Especially when I was staying home 24/7, that connection was even stronger. Working gets my mind off things but you should definitely cherish all the time you get to spend with him, you’re gonna miss when he was this little and loved spending all his time with you 😭😭

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
