But this is a good thing? No?
Insulin resistance is very common with PCOS and so if that is your issue, then the metformin can help control the pcos and make it easier to conceive.
I was on letrozole for a whole year-year and a half , conceived and lost that pregnancy and didn’t conceive on it again until I started metformin.. and now have my rainbow baby boy.

So I did a little stalking. I’ve ALWAYS had issues with my periods but ended up getting pregnant with my daughter as soon as we started trying. It took me 2 years to conceive my son, and like I said above 1-1.5 yrs of that was on fertility medicine. I know it’s hard but figuring out a reason why, and trying to correct the problem is a HUGE step in the right direction! It’ll all be worth it in the end, trust me.

yeah I’m trying to be positive and I hope that metformin will help. He didn’t really explain what that does or how it helps but we will start that and then clomid I guess

I was in the same position. I did A LOT of research. Look up insulin resistance PCOS. I’m terrible at trying to explain things but basically if your body doesn’t process insulin like normal, it can really mess with your hormones and cause you to not ovulate. Metformin will help your body process insulin like it’s supposed to.

Good thing that I know why my body is messed up but not good because I have heard how hard it can be trying to conceive

I know that feeling of dread when hearing this diagnosis. I was only about 14 years old. My first question was can I still have children. I was always told women with PCOS are going to struggle to conceive and I would have a hard time. I assumed my husband and I would have to try for a long time. It turns out PCOS like everything really varies person to person and you can have minor forms. I have minor PCOS according to my new doctor. So while I do have some cysts and extremely painful periods I really have no other symptoms. It did take us over a year to conceive but we did manage it naturally before the 2 year mark my doctor had given me. PCOS isn't the same for everyone so don't freak out just yet! Metformin would've been my next step. I know several women with PCOS who were able to get pregnant pretty quickly after starting metformin. Try and take a deep breath. Baby dust and love your way. 💜 don't get caught up on the diagnosis.

Please let me know, if it works for you. Because, my gynecologist have me on Clomid for PCOS and I been on it for 5months, soon will be 6months being on it and it still doesn’t work for me.

It’s been a long road for me since my PCOS diagnosis. I understand the emotions. I went through a slight depression and still have a hard time dealing with the reality of my health issues—how it will affect my pregnancy and even my own life in the future. However, the best thing is to be honest with what’s going on and be proactive, which you’re doing. You’re not alone in your PCOS diagnosis. You have a network of women who have and currently are going through the same thing as you.
