The response I got from letting my landlord know this is the second mouse I’ve had in my apartment in a couple weeks. That last sentence really rubbed me wrong. For one, I have a clean apartment, I don’t leave food out. Two, it’s fall so mice are looking for warmth, they’re not coming into my apartment because it’s ‘dirty’. Three, I don’t believe that it’s a “first for this building”. Ugh this whole email just made me feel like she thinks I don’t clean or something. Maybe I’m over reacting. I don’t care though.
I’ve posted about my defiant toddler many times before but I’m really at a loss now. She deliberately disobeys. Like, she knows what “no” means and if she’s doing something she knows she’s not supposed to I can ask “do you want to go in timeout?” And she’ll answer “no” and SOMETIMES stop.. I can’t take her anywhere cause she refuses to listen. She runs wild, screams, throws tantrums etc. At home she’s just as bad and absolutely nothing I do or say helps. Timeout doesn’t work, hand poppings don’t work, a pop on the butt doesn’t work, I’ve tried getting down to her level and calmly explaining things or trying to make sure she knows that I understand her emotions and things like that but I’m not even kidding when I say nothing works with her. I’m constantly telling her no and even though she knows she’s going to get into trouble she will do it anyways and then cream this blood curdling scream when she does get in trouble. I’ve raided Pinterest for days, write everything down, tried everything I found... idk what else to do. Everyone keeps telling me it’s “terrible twos” or “she’s just strong willed” or that it’s normal for her age and all of that might be true but there’s gotta be some kind of something that will help me teach her to listen to me and such.
It’s literally in the Bible they ate the fruit and realized they were naked and sought clothing. There is a law for indecent exposure... quit acting surprised if someone is freaked out by your seeing your breast it’s been instilled in us since the very beginning. *have to edit before the breastfeeding community comes at me lol I’m talking about a lady who was wearing a crop top with no bra and only half the boob was covered and me and my boyfriend had to witness this and yes someone said something to her me and my boyfriend just looked at eachother like wtf was that a nipple🤦🏽 ♀
I’m really trying my hardest to help one of my friends but it’s so hard she doesn’t listen to my advice. She’s a stay at home mom and she has 3 kids under age 5. Her husband works full time 10-12 hour shifts 6 days a week and they depend solely on his income. She’s always telling me how bad they struggle and complaining about not having money and I send her part-time jobs she could get but she says childcare is the issue. I even found a daycare that would let her bring her two younger kids that she could work at and she said she could find a sitter for her older son who is 5. Does she listen? No I literally give her money every week and no I’m not obligated but I just feel like I have to help what can I do to tell her she needs to start working because it’s literally ridiculous I’m realizing I give her like $100 a week which isn’t a lot but once I add it up that’s $400 I could be using for myself or in my own savings

60 is still a good price but that's not fair for her to expect you to pay more because she doesn't have any other jobs this week. I would tell her that you'll give her the agreed upon amount. If the work load was changing or increasing then it would be acceptable but that reason is a no go.

Totally reasonable. It shouldn't fall back on another client because she had cancellations for the week. That logic is still getting me haha

Yeah that's not okay to me. I'd be finding a new cleaner if she didn't want to work now for the agreed amount. That would be like me telling a family I nanny for that someone else I nanny for isn't paying me this week so I'm charging higher prices to make the difference. Unacceptable. She needs to find reliable clients if this is her only source of income. 🤷🏻♀️

Yes nothing has changed . I paid her a lot last week to help me spring clean for Passover and PLUS another day that same week to clean the rest of apt which was like the bedrooms and bathrooms . I paid her a good amount . But that was a diff workload completely .
