So i have someone help me clean every Friday ... she keeps raising her price ( i have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment it’s not dirty cuz i don’t live in such a way and it’s a 3 hr jobs) anyway she raised it to 50$ which i said okay to since i need it now that i can barely pick up toys.... anyway - she texts me asking me to pay her now 60 this week bc I’m her only job... like no lol wtf ? I’m sorry it seems very greedy and if you can’t do it for a normal price for an apartment then idk , I’ll find someone new . #rant
60 is still a good price but that's not fair for her to expect you to pay more because she doesn't have any other jobs this week. I would tell her that you'll give her the agreed upon amount. If the work load was changing or increasing then it would be acceptable but that reason is a no go.
A person's cleaning fee should not be contingent on the number of clients one has but based off the type of cleaning job the client has for them. It's not your responsibility to make up the difference in her income between the number of cleaning jobs she has. I would have a hard time trusting someone who raised their prices based on number of clients in such a way and wonder what she was doing that caused her to have so few. Beware mama.
Uhm anybody need a cleaner I’m available lol 😆 y’all paying good Im free on mondays and fridays
For you supplying the products and already not being too messy I would be ticked at the increase. We pay $100 every two weeks for a 5 bed 4 bath home. And they bring their own products. You are definitely allowed to be frustrated.
My mom has a total steal of a deal. She has a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house and they clean it for $65. They also steal her meds but it’s a deal 😂
Gurrrl you told me you guys only buy groceries and don’t spend any other money🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol i actually spend according to what i can spend without breaking bank Lmaoo i don’t go out or spoil myself on dates with my husband etc but i use what i have on necessities. And thank gd his business has picked up a bit too!
@mrsmord, glad to hear his business is picking up! Hopefully that is helping his mood too👌
@phoebesmommy, I’ve been trying to help his mood in diff ways 😊
That seems like a steal honestly. We pay our girl $25 an hour.
You just pay for shipping and I'll be in the next box mailed to you and I'll help ya for free! 😂😂
My mother-in-law is a professional cleaner and she charges $20 and hour so a 3 hour job would be $60 plus her gas fees and tax. So that’s definitely a good price. I pay my cleaner $95 plus her gas fees but our house is quite large and we live on an acreage a little ways out of town.
Although changing her price randomly due to not having other clients is crap. My cleaning lady only adjusts her price every other year in the month of December...to just randomly hike it wouldn’t fly for me either.
So mine is a one floor apartment . For a house i agree it is more difficult as well specially if there’s stairs and laundry etc . Otherwise .... i don’t like when she asks me that cuz I’m like .. no lol i can’t pay u 60$ bc nobody else asks u to work that day 🤷🏻♀️
@mrsmord, Yeah there’s no justifying her price hike by saying it’s because she has no one else that’s not your issue. Mine only reassesses price December of alternating years...I’d not be agreeing to a price change over her lack of clients on any given day..that’s just bad business practice in my opinion. I completely agree with you it’s an apartment..she’s working the same amount of hours so there’s no justifying paying more!
That's actually a really good price I would charge 75 for that you gotta account for the labor gas it takes to get there cleaning supplies she has to buy and so on
So i supply the products , she uses a bus bc she lives not too far - I’m only really paying for labor .
Yeah she charged you a good price, but yes she shouldn’t raise it tho. I charge a lot more than that when I clean houses lol. Just tell her you don’t need her this week then.
I did but then she agreed to still come for the same amount of money lol . I told her i can only pay 50$ this week ( since it’s the same amount of work as every time ) and that I’d have to cancel then , and she said she’ll come still. 🤷🏻♀️

@madhatter, i agree. I can’t be responsible for other people not asking for you to come that day u know
@mrsmord Totally reasonable. It shouldn't fall back on another client because she had cancellations for the week. That logic is still getting me haha
@madhatter, THts what I’m saying ! That’s insane lmao
She asks for more because it’s her only job this week? Plus rising price whenever she wants 🤔 not like you moved to bigger apartment or something so price should stay the same 🤷♀️
@mrsmord, she probably trying to raise prices now since she got more clients or got more experience or something else.. understandable but not fair to you.
@angelinao, honestly i actually give her so many clients ... so i feel like that should count for something too. But if it wasn’t good for her then I’d just find a new one ya know ?
Y’all why am I so nice?
I rent my apartment in Boston to a “friend” for $500 plus I always put food in the fridge. it’s a 4 bedroom place she has the whole place to her self and she has no kids She has been there since July 1st works a full time job making $23/hr she never has her rent she still owes me 550 from the past two months and coming up on the 1st will put her at 1050 she wanted to text me and ask why I won’t pay the WiFi 😡 like wtf. So I texted her why won’t she pay her rent 😤I don’t...

The response I got from letting my landlord know this is the second mouse I’ve had in my apartment in a couple weeks.
That last sentence really rubbed me wrong. For one, I have a clean apartment, I don’t leave food out. Two, it’s fall so mice are looking for warmth, they’re not coming into my apartment because it’s ‘dirty’. Three, I don’t believe that it’s a “first for this building”. Ugh this whole email just made me feel like she thinks I don’t clean or something.
Maybe I’m over reacting. I...
I’ve posted about my defiant toddler many times before but I’m really at a loss now. She deliberately disobeys. Like, she knows what “no” means and if she’s doing something she knows she’s not supposed to I can ask “do you want to go in timeout?” And she’ll answer “no” and SOMETIMES stop.. I can’t take her anywhere cause she refuses to listen. She runs wild, screams, throws tantrums etc. At home she’s just as bad and absolutely nothing I do or say helps. Timeout doesn’t work, hand poppings don’t...
It’s literally in the Bible they ate the fruit and realized they were naked and sought clothing. There is a law for indecent exposure... quit acting surprised if someone is freaked out by your seeing your breast it’s been instilled in us since the very beginning. *have to edit before the breastfeeding community comes at me lol I’m talking about a lady who was wearing a crop top with no bra and only half the boob was covered and me and my boyfriend had to witness this and yes someone said somethi...
I’m really trying my hardest to help one of my friends but it’s so hard she doesn’t listen to my advice. She’s a stay at home mom and she has 3 kids under age 5. Her husband works full time 10-12 hour shifts 6 days a week and they depend solely on his income. She’s always telling me how bad they struggle and complaining about not having money and I send her part-time jobs she could get but she says childcare is the issue. I even found a daycare that would let her bring her two younger kids that ...
