I have a question for people on birth control. Are you girls worried about where the blood actually goes ? If it’s not coming out ? You’re not scared of side effects like one being “blood clots” just curious.

birth control prevents ovulation..you can still have your period while on it.

Really ? That goes with any birth control I’m sorry I don’t know much about birth control so you can have your monthly period on birth control ?
Heather·
I'm not on BC, but I was from the age of 17 on to 24..I never had any symptoms other than moodiness.
Alexius··
But you still had your cycle every month ? Was it regular or did it mess with your cycle and make it heavier ? Or longer by any chance ?
Heather·
it actually made mine shorter..and yes, it was regular. same time each month.
Heather·
and lighter too..

I was just on the pill. I think the depo shot makes you not have a regular period..

Most you still have a period. Some you don’t. The ones that you don’t, there is no blood. The “sloughing” process doesn’t happen
Alexius··
When there is no blood is that bad ?
Mandy·
Bc messed with my period. Everyone is different. It lightened it up but it would still be irregular until I was on it for over two years. Different forms can stop the period all together but the traditional pill doesn't typically do that

That’s why I’m asking because in all birth control pills of course blood clots are higher chance but it says something in the pill also helps prevent blood clots

Certain birth controls like depo stop the regular cycle so there is no blood to go anywhere. You dont ovulate. Your body doesn't go through the normal phases
