I’m done, I’m so done. Every single night without fail it takes 2+ hours for Noah to go to sleep. No matter what I do he will not go to bed and I.am.DONE. I’m done with the bottles I’m done with everything. I can not keep doing this.

Idk if it would work for you, but when my son wouldn’t come off the bottle we did the “Bottle Fairy”. Talked it up for a few days that the bottle fairy was coming to get all of his old bottles because new babies needed them and she’d leave a special treat. That night I gathered everything related to bottles up and put them in a bag and hid it. Left him a special treat bag in the place of the drying rack. He struggled a bit and would go look in the dishwasher for his bottles, but after a couple of days, he’d adjusted and never mentioned them again.

My MIL is a speech therapist for kiddos if you want I can ask her some things for you and get some ideas on what you can try so you don't have to take anything away from him or to find a easier way to take it away? One of my nieces has development issues she's over 1 and still can't even stand on her own or walk. She barely learned to crawl recently.

Yeah he’s supposed to have a speech evaluation to get into therapy but he’s also high risk for autism so that’s my other problem. I’m just extremely overwhelmed and with no one getting back to me for his services to help him/me it’s frustrating. The only service he’s getting is behavioral therapy since he is high risk for autism..I’m just starting to think this stupid bottle is one of the roots of all problems

Have you tried the nuk sippy cups? The nipple is rubber. That's what we used to get our son off a bottle. We started at 4 months and he really liked it. It was easier to get him on a hard nipple sippy after that. Also we used to struggle with his bed time. We kept him up all day without a nap then super late at night then woke him up early in the morning and then no nap again. He fell asleep at 9pm and then we woke him up at 8am let him nap for 30 min at noon or 2 the latest and ever since it's been that way. You can always try something like that? My brothers baby doesn't like to sleep either and he's been doing his dinner,bath then bedtime routine and it's been working. He's been starting bedtime at 7pm and getting her to sleep but 10pm then 9pm now 8pm. It took him a month of constancy and it's paying off!

@bubbys.mommy my brothers daughter uses a bottle to bed too. It's not a bad thing. They'll grow out of it on their own. My 2 year old just stopped taking a binki on his own and we tried everything to take it away. If your little needs a bottle for sleep let them. They drink out of sippys and cups also so it's not like they are behind on anything. You're doing great mamas 💙

@witchymama, he actually has developmental issues. His speech is that of a 9 month old and he will be 3 in December the bottle can cause speech delay some times. I want to just throw his bottles away but I have to be mentally prepared to stay up all night however I’m conflicted because it’s a huge comfort thing for him and at the same time I don’t want to rip away his comfort.

@bubbys.mommy my daughter's 3.5 ....she takes a empty bottle to bed with her for comfort. She's started putting holes in the nipples.from chewing on them. I've told her once they are all wrecked we are done. Her speech isn't delayed at all.

I learned it’s ok not to be ok thanks to @leonardsquared, I’m going to try remembering that whenever I feel like I’m failing as a mom because I can’t do the things I used to do.....I’m just sick of feeling sick 😔
I’m genuinely trying to do this self soothing thing. She’s screaming even though she’s clean, dry and fed, her temperatures fine. She screamed for at least 10 minutes 😩😩I had to just go on about my business. It’s not easy😩😩but it had to be done
Well it’s official we are doing remote learning in the fall. The school board voted and went along with what the superintendent wanted. I can’t even say I’m upset or mad about it cause I do think it was the right decision and we had a bit of a warning that this was how it was going to go. Even though I’m in a good position, a sahm, and very fortunate I can still say it sucks lol. What about your kids school?
