Anybody cook taco meat WITHOUT the packet of OVERLY SALTY “taco mix”?? What do you use? 🤔🤔

I tried this before

In my opinion, the most important spice to have around for this is cumin. Then I add some chili powder and onion powder. Sometimes I put some salsa in the meat towards the end of cooking

I hate those taco seasoning packets.

I honestly just season the meat how I see fit. Oddly I’m not a fan of the taco meat taste so I just use regular seasonings

Yep! I just use cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt and pepper. Tastes the same but less salt

I make my own taco seasoning. It’s delicious and salt free

I like to use the lower sodium option

I used the Aldi's brand liquid pack and the powder pack I think the liquid one works better but it was to spicy for my kids
