Depends on how dehydrated! Usually they’ll keep you for a few hours and hook you up to a IV to get fluids

i went when i was pregnant i got an iv of fluid and was ready to go home the same day

They said ketones is high in my urine and i might have to stay overnight

It was under 24 hours for me. They were able to help get my vomiting under control after almost a whole day and multiple bags of fluids. They were debating keeping me if I wasn't able to start holding down fluids on my own orally.
