Serious question for y’all. Has anyone ever had a problem with a family member calling your baby something you hate! If so how did you deal with it?
We were incredibly close to them until now and now I feel like it is my fault that they won’t be a ‘ part of her life’ (their words not mine)

My mil calls my little boy “fatty”, only he’s not fat he just likes to eat. It bothers me and I haven’t heard her say it in awhile but I’m going to tell her not to be calling my son that. It’s really upsetting!!
My SO’s step mom has been calling my daughter Cammie and we hate it! So in the spirit of me handling my family and him handling his. I had him text his dad and very politely ask him to talk with her about it and it was like someone set off a bomb. We had plans to go out of town with them but they have since canceled because ‘we are being childish.’

My daughters name is Isabella and my Hispanic family always wants to call her “Chabela” which is the nickname they give girls named Isabella but I hate it so much I constantly have to say, her name is Isabella. It might sound rude but has to be said lol

Simply tell them not too, because you dont like it and they need to respect your wishes as the mother.
