My son has been congested and has had an occasional cough for the last several weeks. His pediatrician told us to give him saline spray and run the humidifier. We’ve been doing that, however it seems to be getting worse. He wakes up sounding hoarse in the am. The pediatrician told us as long as he’s eating and isn’t running a fever he should be fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else we could try, aside from steam from the shower, because that’s not helping either.

they have chest rubs made to be safe for babies, im not sure if they have to be a specific age still but you could look into it

Yeah, I found 1 for 2 months up, but he’s not quite 2 months yet.

Having the same issue. Pedi said the same as above. Run the humidifier, watch for fever if he's eating and behaving normally just has to run its course.
