Okay I need some serious help. Toot is teething and all she wants to do is chew her hands but her daddy got her a binki made just for chewing and I really want to get her to take it but she just won't. Any help?

I gave my son this as well and he didn't know how to use it also so I just pretty much stuck it in the freezer for about a couple of hours and then I'll give it to him and let him chew wherever he wants on it and I end up looking at him a couple of minutes later and he actually has like a piece of the part that's actually supposed to go in his mouth in his mouth so just let her play with it and Discover it maybe that will help like it did with us

They have these mittens that are teethers. At that age it’s pretty common though, even when not teething, to explore their hands in all kinds of ways

She’s only 2 months, so I would maybe hold off and try again later. It’s totally normal for babies to want to chew on their hands, and explore them. My son was doing the same thing a few months ago, constantly chewing on his hands. It’s normal, I would put vaseline on them with mittens when they got dried out.

My oldest had one of those and really didn’t know how to use it lol he would choke on it almost. So I never used those, he nawed on raw carrots or celery and the frozen teethers. My youngest had teething socks cause his feet are alway in his mouth but he likes the same things. Him I feel like he needs something with teeth tho so he can run his gums on it

I believe it’s because she’s still so young. My daughter didn’t take that teether until 4/5 months.. If you insist on trying, maybe see if you can get some formula or breast milk whichever shes on, maybe on the tip so she can taste it and maybe she will try it. I say that because I align the bristles on my daughters teether with baby orajel and it has a flavor so my daughter ends up chewing it longer than if it was just the plain teether. She chews it by its self just fine but she likes the taste of the orajel but the orajel says 3 months+. So that’s why I suggested something different for your daughter to have. I started putting the orajel on it it because she will suck the orajel off my finger before I can get it to her gums lol. So it kills two birds with one stone! So yea see if her tasting something on it will peak her interest!

My daughter would only use the teething toothbrush banana from Walmart. She took a binky but wouldn’t use the ones for teething

My daughter wouldn't take it either and when she finally did she just chewed on the handle 🤷 I went threw so many toys and pacis before my daughter found something that helped. It's kinda just trial and error

Likes different textures and temperatures. My daugther loved cloth and coolness. My son liked vibration and firm texture.

Unfortunately it's a lot of trial and error to find the one your little one likes the best.

I don’t think you can make her take it. They make teething mittens though

I have one, but she won't touch it

@brittley.sanders, oh okay. Well chewing on their little hands is sensory exploration. As long as they’re clean there’s no harm
