So my son has a diaper rash and is bleeding I’m taking him to the er to get checked but is this normal?

Boudreaux butt cream and then aquaphor over it. It will heal in no time. Do not waste the emergency rooms precious resources.
Also my son's was to the point it wss bleeding so we would put him in his bath and squirt his butt off with the little nose sucker thing then would pat his butt dry with a soft towel. It would keep it from bleeding like wipes did if we would wipe him. Good luck momma. It's terrible ☹☹
Let him “air out” and then put a thick layer of butt paste. Change diaper more than usual. No need for ER. I use Flanders Butt paste through Walmart. The pharmacist has to order it but it’s amazing stuff. It’s worked over night in some cases for us.
Destin works wonder but my son got like that so bad it hurt my heart I took and oatmeal pack the ones you buy out the store because he has eczema anyway and I took it and mixed it until I got a paste and I spread it all over his bottom wherever it had the wash and left it on over night and that even worked better yes I did put an diaper on him so it’s okay

@meganrogers1329 a specialist in the emergency room? That's odd.
@massgirl, I think they mean see one in a few days outside the er. I hope she’s been to the pedi prior to this about diarrhea from February though but she probably has. Idk.
@whereswaldo, I have thy said it’s. Normal I call bs the children’s er wasn’t happy
My son had a bad rash with bleeding 4 days ago i just put diaper rash cream and it went away its not as bad as you think.
Get some Desitin it'll be cleared by tomorrow, not something to run to the er about
@massgirl, me too. I was at the ER a few weeks ago for a cardiac issue. It was jam packed with people just like this. Colds, sprains, etc. It was super fun waiting to be seen because they were bombarded with non emergencies.
@cams that's crazy. I always use urgent care. More often than my doctor because usually she's a few days out when I am sick. Urgent care in this situation is still not even necessary. People seriously need to get a clue.
@massgirl, oh I totally agree with you. But I guess if she HAS to go somewhere it’s better than the ER.
So when I took in my kids for a rash to their pedis similar to this, I was told to buy a none prescription cream for it. It cleared it up in about a week. Stung a little bit because there is mint in it.
Eta: Calmoseptine is the name
Yes my sone had that put either prep h or jock itch (same indlgredients) on it and in a day or 2 it'll be all cleared up. Gotta slather it on and keep it on him until fully gone. It worked a miracle.
And it was hurting him so much it had him crying but you gotta put in on him and change him often or it will get worse.
Bad diaper rash it’s “normal” just let him air out with no diaper on and put a thick thick layer of cream on when you do diaper him.
@whereswaldo, I would but he’s acting like it hurts him so I’m taking him my husband is concerned to
@meganrogers1329, I hope they have something for you. Like a medicated cream. I’m sure it does bother him though. Diaper rash isn’t fun. Poor guy 😔
