I’m going to add that in the cases of positional asphyxiation—- THESE ARE NOT MEANT FOR SLEEPING. Baby should always sleep FLAT on their backs with nothing in the crib.

Right! My daughter has the rocker and I haven’t had any of the issues that people are saying with it. They’re not for sleeping, you still need to strap them in and you shouldn’t leave the baby unintended for long periods of times.

Now, the fact that they were being sold as "sleepers" in the title is absolutely misleading - that's FP's bad. But it doesn't negate parental responsibility. It'd be like buying a car seat, not reading the manual, and then blaming the company if your kid was injured in a crash because you didn't secure them properly.

Exactly! I’ve had 3 kids use it now without any issues ever. Especially for refluxy babies like mine the rock and play is so helpful to avoid choking.

They are not suppose to be used for sleeping. You figure people would have common sense.

In mine it shows "back to sleep" so really it is a combo sleep/play device purchased Dec last year btw. It really is based on how the child was placed to sleep. There also could have been an undeveloped neurological issue with those babies - sad as it is. My thoughts are: if it was positional asphyxiation, then why have not more deaths been reported from the 4.7 million sold 💁. I have issues with the AAP and will not soley base what I do on their opinion. They are constantly changing their minds on everything related to infant care. It's a wonder any of us are alive today!! 😒
