Ear piercing thoughts? I prefer to do it when she is small like the end of year 1 so she has no memory of it, it was traumatic for me at 5. And her pediatrician does it in office at 6 months or later, or I would go to a piercing studio. Mine are uneven from some stupid mall kiosk that used a gun. 🙄

I got my first done at 6 months from her doctor and my second had here done at 10 or 11 months at the mall (the doctor that did piercings was on maternity leave lol). I suggest doing them when they are small. She will forget about it 5 min later lol

I feel like it is unnecessary to put a baby through that just for vanity. I also don’t feel comfortable modifying another person’s body without consent. I’m waiting for my daughter to ask when she wants them done, if she ever does. I’m sorry it was traumatic for you but it doesn’t have to be.

I got mine done after her two month shots. And I will do the same to my next daughter also. At that age they don’t even know they have ears, my daughter never once messed with her earrings. They healed fast and quick.

Most piercers are BIG on consent. I know none of them will pierce a child here who isn’t old enough to ask for it. Which I really agree with.

My mother wanted to pierce my ears when I was a baby but my father was against it. He said if God wanted her to have pierced ears he would’ve let me be born with them. So my mother didn’t do it and I didn’t get them pierced until I was 16 when I actually wanted to. But everyone is different and are entitled to their own doings. Just like my stepsister, I have taken care of her daughter since she was born, she got her daughters ears pierced when she was 5 months old everything was fine she didn’t bother them even as she got older she knew how to change them and everything.
