Someone please help!!
My son came back Positive for strep throat! I gave him his medicine &' threw it up.
Before bed I gave him a small amount again. He drank about 10oz of Powerade instead of milk. He's coughing again like every other night. (He kinds of choks before Coughing.) His mouth gets super bubbly!! 😩 His breathing is normal but his body starts jumping randomly! He doesn't have a fever. &' just threw up his breakfast ,dinner , medicine &' Powerade 😭
= Doctor said to let the medicine kick in for a few days &' if he doesn't get better to take him in again. But his cough is way worse! I want him to get better fast! But I hate seeing him like this!
What other remedies can I do it use??
He's not keeping anything down at night!

Switch to Pedialyte because it is easier on their stomach and actually helps with the vomiting and hydration. Feed him soup and if you can purchase some tea to soothe his throat.

Take him in the bathroom shut the door turn on shower as hot as it will go and fill it up with steam. Get it really steamy. The cough will usually stop. If you have a cool mist humidifier once he quits coughing or if you husband can help lave him in steamy bathroom and set it up in room on high. This happens to my daughter with every cold she gets. She coughs until vomit over and over and the steam helps her stop. If you can't get it to stop and he starts doing accessory muscle breathing or turning blue it's ER time. Count respiration too if the get too fast or too slow take him. Good luck... Once he is doing better they make cough sucker which are basically cough drops on a stick made for kids. They help too!

@simply_mee we sometimes get so desperate we sit in bathroom with steam wait for cough to be controlled and give meds and nothing else. As long as 20 minutes pass before he vomits meds will have full effect. Lots of stories games and if you are a TV family you can pull a tablet in to keep him calm and comfortable to stay calm and sit.

No not Children’s NyQuil I believe they have to be like 6 before they can take that stuff.
