How long did it take for your baby to acknowledge dad as their dad? My fiancé is feeling hurt because our son doesn’t listen to him when he tries to calm him down or play with him and he feels like our baby doesn’t see him as his dad 😭💔
I’m still my son’s comfort and he’s 3.5. Dad is for fun apparently.
It’s still really early. My daughter is obsessed with my husband and completely attached to him but when I’m home with her she’s super clingy and glued to me! It takes time for them to develop a personality and be able to tell who’s their mama, dada, grandma, grandpa and so on. I think my daughter started recognizing everyone at around 3 months or so? I feel like little ones have a preference on who they want to be held by or be around most and I think it’s normal! For example my daughter spends all day with me so when we’re around other people she prefers to be held by others than by her momma 😂 it doesn’t bother me though because we’re literally together 24/7 and sometimes mommy can use a break. Tell your fiance not to worry, your baby will recognize him soon enough.
Hi my 2 years old still just get calm with me. My fiancé has tried a lot of things but I guess because he spent so much time with me, when he feels bad he looks only for me. His dad feels bad but understand until certain point. He keeps trying, it is the only thing to do.
Does he have anxiety that might be why baby wont stop crying but it does take time sometime my 4 month old does the same thing since i brestfeed.
@babybump01 that is probably why he only know you and when brestfeeding it hard to get time to bond have you pumped at all he can try to feed him once so you can get a little break and then he can Bond also tell him to try to do some skin to skin and is trying to keep playing and holding him a lot more and then soon baby will get use to him. But all so my 3 year old will come to me to calm down and wont stop crying at time when my husband trys to calm her down so it just a kid thing too. Mommy are better a boo boo kisses and cuddles.
@mom2les, I pump for when we go out we can bottle feed him he fed him a few times and even with that he was fighting with him to eat
@babybump01 yea it not going to just happen over night he has to bond with him more all he know is you it will get better soon. The more he has time with him the more he will start to get comfortable it just takes time.
Trigger. Our precious boy
Last night, December 8th, 2015, at 9:58pm, our sweet precious baby boy was born sleeping. We spent 5 wonderful hours with him: holding him, talking to him, singing to him, mourning him, praying for him, and weeping over him.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Opinions! I’m pregnant with my ex boyfriends third child it is our second together. Our daughter is 3, we split up a week before I found out I was pregnant. He doesn’t want to fix things. And I’ve been trying to sorta ask him to come home but found out some news that completely broke my heart. I sorta started to talk to someone that doesn’t live in my state but works around my area sometimes.. we spent some time together while he was here and he will be back in 3 weeks.. am I doing something wro...
Question. I just left my husband for cheating and now hes been harassing me. Hes threatening to come get our son. I dont care if he sees his son but I'm not comfortable with him leaving with him bc hes never taken care of him a day In his life and he might use him against me. Am I wrong for feeling this way??
Why does my child think she can keep pushing her baby brother over, he just wants to always play with her and if she doesn’t want him to she doesn’t think and just pushes him over all the time, I feel for him the poor thing, is this a phase or life 😩🙈
It’s still early but if dad is nervous or has any kind of anxiety with the baby the baby can sense that and it will make the baby nervous which causes crying which will make dad more nervous and it’s a cycle until baby is with you again they can do skin to skin and that will help with a bond and tell dad to take deep breaths and relax everything will be fine lol
